Twelve grueling hours!

Well we knew the first day would be tough since we wanted to get down south as soon as possible.

It turned out to be twelve hours from getting up at 6:30AM to hooking up at our campsite at 6:30PM this evening.

One thing we learned is that it's probably better to pick up the RV first and bring it home to load up as opposed to driving to the rental place ... makes for more packing and unpacking

Yin and I split the driving and we both found it quite tiring. I did the stint before lunch (we stopped at the Apricot Tree Restaurant on I5 - nothing special but way better than a Micky D's!) and Yin did the afternoon shift.

Much fun was had playing Risk and Monopoly on the iPad (no spilled pieces ;-) around the table while we were in the move.

Everyone held their noses as we went past the feedlots next to I5 ... it's more than enough to make you a vegetarian!
