Pioneertown
Went to Joshua Tree Bicycles to get James' front tire fixed.
The proprietor proposed we try Pioneertown (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pioneertown,_California) for lunch. Unfortunately, it was completely deserted!
(Am posting from the Mad Greek at Baker, by the way).
Glad to see you are reconnected and having such a lively time. In contrast, after four days of total inactivity, including people bringing us food on the beach without us having to stand up at all, we are starting to resemble the space humans in WALL-E.
Does this mean the much recommended on TripAdvisor Pappy & Harriet's Restaurant was not open? Did you feel like you recognized any of the sets from old shows?
Our big goal of the day is to get off the resort for the first time since we arrived. (Well, that's the parent goal - some resistance coming from the menehune.) But Dunk has set up a work call, so we may not manage it. His ear still giving him lots of gyp. We actually have clouds today. Looking forward to reading more on your blog. Give us more human interest stories!
